CAS Project Reflection 3 (What I have learnt)

This part might be a lot for me to list but I will cut short for now.
Thus, I will post only those I felt that are really important ones.

  • Time Management - Time is pretty important. Sometime we failed to get a lab even we planned the time to do the project as some labs were either very packed or having lessons that weren't in the lab's time table. I learnt that we should plan many steps ahead of others maybe 3-5 steps before?
  • Project Management - This is one of the toughest project I had ever encounter. Getting organised is very important as, once a part goes wrong the whole project may crumble. Like how we had to re-do thank to my carelessness to lose my hard drive. But it's a good experience as I believe there are even though projects awaiting for us.
  • Team Management - Haha I learnt this from SIFE, " Too many cooks, spoils the broth". Quite true. We had 6 members where others had 4-5 only. Thus, we are unable to delegate jobs efficiently to our members. Moreover, we don't really understand each other way of working. But through this project, I learnt how to manage the team better.
  • Stress Management - Yes! Very Important! Some of us almost broke down while doing the project. Maybe that's because we are all rushing for time and the long hours being in front of the computers. We learnt that efficient break sessions do help in improving our team's productivity. + We have Priscilla the Joker for this =)
  • Social Networking - This is the best part. With the help of other course mates, things were way easier than it was when we just started. Haha, I also learnt that we shouldn't be on the front line being the first one to do the project because the first few teams will usually be bombarded with questions by other teams lol~
The rest are pretty minor as compared to those, so I will only update at later dates as this is in rush for time for project submission.

CAS Project Reflections 2 (My Contributions)

Haha. I am so proud of myself for this part!
I sacrificed my beloved 500GB Force White Toshiba External Portable Hard Drive. =(
But it's my fault it went missing anyways.
Then my prideful 2GB Sims 3 Plumbob Thumb drive looks cool even as an accessories=)

But of course those are just some random braggings.
My true contributions are not really those.
I did parts like the transactions of the AP systems, setting up I think was done by Dirah.
Did some GL data entries too like the AR parts and a couple of AP parts with Kok Tong.
Too much things that I also even forgot some parts that was done were what haha.

But basically Dirah did things like the setting up of accounts with Kok Tong and Priscilla,
Opening balances/Data Entry in the forms with, Priscilla,Kok Tong and Kimberly.
She is just a great Right Hand Man/Lao Er(No. 2) for me =)

Next is Kok Tong. Is also my Labour Man/Left Hand Man HAHA.
He did many manual chores for me like helping me buy food, set up computer, hog the printer while I print. Okay, this is bad of me to say haha.
Theory were done by Priscilla,Kimberly and Xue Qian.

Kimberly is in fact our main Typist/Gunman. All those type a lot one she do haha Xue Qian also helped her a bit.
She also made cupcakes for us during one of the meetings. How sweet =)

Priscilla is the Joker/Cha Pa Lang (which means random stuffs) Warrior. Haha. So i can't really define what she done because she did bits of stuffs here and ther almost everywhere HAHA.

As for Xue Qian he is our Kah Kia(Lackey)/ Sai Kang(Crap Work) Warrior LOL~ What ever things we don't want/like to do we pass to him to do. We a bit mean right? But we had too many members I think that we don't have much stuff to pass to everyone to do.

As for me I am the MASTERMIND/Ah Tao wakakaka. Beware of our gang, don't pray pray.

CAS Project Reflection 1 (Problems Faced/Hardware Promo)

This is a blog made to end my CAS project sufferings.
The project is very tedious. So hard that we could hardly breathe.
But I managed to have find fun in the process.

The worst part of the whole process is that I lost my hard disk with all the data inside >.<
Everything had to re-do. Super shag. I really have to say sorry to my team mates.
My beloved 500GB Force White Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive T.T Just gotten not long at it's gone for good =(

We didnt give up. We manage to get back on our foot pretty fast though.
Lucky for us that things went smoothly after that.
Maybe it's because my beloved 2GB Sims 3 Plumbob Thumb Drive that brings us good luck.
What's weird is that our file doubled from 500+ to 600+MB to 1.4GB >.<
Which made my thumbdrive retire due to the lack of space.
And also my 2GB Sashimi Sushi Thumb Drive can't seems to work.
Thus, Kok Tong's 4GB (Don't know what brand) Thumb Drive

Many part of the project was hard to understand.
But many thanks to many different course mates.
They were the one whom help us clear our doubts and aided us along side.
I think those whom helped were marvelous, 3 cheers for them!
Without them I think we might not be able to complete the project.

The structure of the data entry was like draining my energy and brain cells.
The stupid logo had to be on every page in which they screw up the whole form's structure.
Wasted like 2-3hrs just to work on that.
Thanks to people who helped that day, you know who you are =)

Last but not least, printing of the project seems to be very troublesome.
Many people were hogging the printers till I could see smoke coming out from them.
Poor Mr and Mrs HPLJ_1/2/3. Thank you so much for your service.
I should treat you candy/coffee someday.
Every group had to print like 200++++ pages seems to be like madness.
If you ever see the printer breakdown in the lab, this is the reason why.
